Rachael: “We wanted to concentrate on using health data around sleeping patterns. Generating music that reacts to how good a night’s sleep had been seemed like an interesting new way to encourage a positive, holistic lifestyle. So if someone had a restless night, the music produced would be in a minor key, with a dissonant, melancholic sound. Alternatively, if you had a restful night of sleep, it would be in a major key creating a soothing and energising sound.”

Rudi: “Exactly. We thought it could be used to try and get people to engage with health tech products in a way they hadn’t previously considered. People frequently talk about now getting enough sleep. Maybe this would be a way to prompt that, giving the user an end result.”
